This quiz from Animal Planet, is great for anyone thinking of getting a pet!!
Pets, especially dogs and bigger animals, require lots of dedication and responsibility.
Brushing or taking it to a groomer(if you have a pet that sheds or has long hair), and bathing it (dogs especially), cleaning up after it, feeding it, taking it to the vet regularly and most importantly ATTENTION! Also, dogs need lots of exercise, depending on the breed.
If you already have a pet and you would prefer a smaller one too (that your pets, like dogs and cats, won't eat!)
Try getting a snail!!! If you have cat(s) (and you're concerned about them eating the snails) make sure that you have a high space, that the cat(s) don't climb on, to put the tank on.
